Core Duties

  • Perform comprehensive financial, operational, and physical assessments of both new and existing carbon projects across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Design and implement tailored financial solutions to address specific client requirements in funding and managing risks associated with carbon projects, including derivatives, project finance, and traditional lending.
  • Work collaboratively with various internal teams, including Sales, Trading, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Governance, to ensure optimal client outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with leadership teams and senior executives from a wide range of industries, from startups to large corporations and institutional investors.
  • Stay informed about the factors influencing environmental markets both locally and globally, including regulatory changes, supply and demand dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events and conferences, sharing insights and thought leadership with the broader community.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree in finance or environmental science is preferred.
  • Significant experience in commodity project development, derivatives markets, and structured finance; familiarity with nature-based solutions projects is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and the ability to analyze complex financial data to derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships; existing connections in environmental markets are highly valued.
