Job Title

The Area Director of Purchasing is responsible for overseeing the purchasing process at our hotel, ensuring that all products are received, stored, and issued properly. This includes managing inventory levels, placing orders with vendors, and maintaining accurate records.

This role requires a strong attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of comparable experience and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchasing process, including receiving, storing, and issuing products.
  • Place orders with vendors and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure that they are properly maintained.
  • Assist in the coordination of product release and delivery.
  • Verify that no requisitions are left open.
  • Assist with end-of-month inventories.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of comparable experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work on computer-based systems using inventory sheets, bid sheets, and vendor websites.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and communication with delivery drivers.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read, interpret, and understand product invoices and receiving documentation.
