About This Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of complex projects, working closely with a Manager to ensure their successful completion.

As a Major Projects Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical, contract and project management support throughout the duration of projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimising project outcomes through the effective implementation of procedures, guidelines, processes and practices.

  • You will work collaboratively with internal and external service providers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Your skills in documentation and procurement will enable you to develop high-quality project materials and manage the procurement process efficiently.
  • You will provide effective project administration, ensuring all aspects of projects are aligned with organisational objectives and completed within scope, timeframes, costs and quality standards.
  • In addition, you will apply relevant procedures, guidelines, policies and practices to ensure work health safety requirements are integrated into project and contract documentation.
  • Another key responsibility will be to prepare building specifications and provide estimates for building projects.
  • You will also promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of our organisation's Workplace Environment Statement.

Key Requirements:

  • A Building trade qualification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in writing specifications and scope of works, reviewing plans and estimating costs and quantities of building works
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian standards
  • Experience with digital drawing programs such as CAD
