Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our innovative Omnitech function, working on brand new projects that elevate our customer-facing platforms. As a Data Engineer, you will design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems, develop and implement data pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF), and implement complex, scalable, and robust architecture to support real-time data streaming using Spark.
You will work closely with data science and engineering teams to provide direct and indirect data-related support, ensuring systems meet business requirements and industry practices. Additionally, you will integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures, develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production, and create custom software components and analytics applications.
About You and Your SkillsWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and strong experience with Azure cloud services, Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, PySpark, Snowflake, and Databricks. You should also have experience with Spark implementation and real-time data streaming in Spark, familiarity with Azure Functions in Python, and proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools is a plus, and you should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
