Lease Administration Specialist

\

This role involves managing lease administration for a prominent retail portfolio. The ideal candidate will oversee the preparation and negotiation of lease documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard landlord templates.

Main Responsibilities:

\
  • Preparing and negotiating lease agreements, including assignments, variations, and licenses
  • Maintaining the integrity of the property database (Lease Eagle)
  • Overseeing monthly rent payments and ensuring smooth operations across the portfolio
  • Providing administrative support for leasing issues and requirements
  • Managing communications related to lease administration
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports, such as lease renewal and lease register, via Lease Eagle
  • Marking-up ITL/Heads of Agreement documents and requesting amendments where necessary
  • Monitoring progress of leasing matters and following up with customers to ensure timely completion of pre-trade requirements
  • Ensuring fitout contributions are invoiced and received in a timely manner
  • Coordinating advance rent and insurances for new stores and maintaining an accurate master insurance register
  • Uploading and reporting monthly sales figures
  • Reviewing and approving the monthly rent roll
  • Assisting with preparing annual property budgets

About You:

\
  • A minimum five years' experience in lease administration and retail property teams
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law or contract administration
  • Experience using Lease Eagle or other lease management tools
  • A strong understanding of retail property legislation and retail lease documentation
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding environment
  • The ability to influence others positively
