This role presents an exciting chance for a skilled Nurse to take on a leadership position within our healthcare team. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of care and quality.

Key responsibilities include providing advanced nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive engaged workforce and appropriate resource management to meet all aspects of legislation.

You will work closely with the centre leader, quality manager, and Director of Nursing to ensure evidence-based, best-practice guidelines are applied.

">Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing staff as an exemplary role model for the profession of nursing, maintaining a high level of communication.
  • Performance development and performance management, as required.
  • Annual performance development reviews for nursing team.
  • Actively support and champion initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency and effectiveness, taking on a leadership role within projects where required.
  • Provide support to the Director of Nursing with the ability to cover during leave periods.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary onsite team to implement efficient and effective centre workflow. Evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Play a key role in performing, managing, implementing and building a quality patient experience.
">Requirements
  • Current Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 3 years nursing with at least 1 year oncology preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care.
  • Experience in leading a team and managing people effectively to achieve goals.
