Underground Production Manager

As a Production Manager - Underground, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership to the development team.

You will support and mentor the progress of assigned tasks and address any issues. Understanding and prioritizing improvement opportunities, you will formulate alternatives to systems and methods.

Assisting with the implementation of change management initiatives and other projects, you will liaise with stakeholders regarding operating parameters and technical issues in relation to mining operations.

Collaborating with the team to connect and set clearly defined accountabilities, roles, and development plans, you will assist with project planning, and supervision of Business Partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising mine operators to ensure safe and efficient shift operations
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, meeting set development targets
  • Supporting performance enhancement and a strong safety culture
  • Assisting with the implementation of change management initiatives
  • Liaising with stakeholders regarding operating parameters and technical issues

Requirements include:

  • A Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency
  • Previous supervisory experience, preferably in gold mining environment
  • Experience in rapid lateral development, production, and haulage
  • Demonstrated planning and forecasting knowledge
  • Experience using Microsoft Office & mining software including SAP and INX
  • A valid Driver's License, WA Dangerous Goods Card, Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces certification
