Job Title: Underground Production Supervisor

The role of the Underground Production Supervisor involves providing effective leadership for the development of a crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a high-performing crew, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed.
  • Support and mentor team members, addressing any issues or concerns and helping them to achieve their goals.
  • Prioritize improvement opportunities and develop alternatives to existing systems and methods, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Underground Manager to implement change management initiatives and other projects, driving business success.
  • Liaise with technical teams regarding operating parameters and technical issues related to mining operations.
  • Work closely with the crew to establish clear accountabilities, roles, and development plans, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assist with project planning and supervise Business Partners, ensuring successful project delivery.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold a Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in underground mechanized mining, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven supervisory experience, preferably in a gold mining environment.
  • Experience in rapid lateral development, production, and haulage.
  • Demonstrated planning and forecasting knowledge, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and mining software, including SAP and INX.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License, WA Dangerous Goods Card, and Working at Heights certification.
