The Strong Kids Creator plays a pivotal role in shaping programs that foster growth and empowerment among children, support parents, and provide essential services to vulnerable young people.

About the Role:

The Strong Kids Creator will work collaboratively within the MacKillop Rural Unit, which provides family support, parenting education, counseling, and other essential services to vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and facilitate supported playgroups
  • Develop a deep appreciation for Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues affecting Aboriginal children, young people, and their families
  • Travel independently to various communities using an automatic 4-wheel drive vehicle
  • Nurture and build strong working relationships with colleagues and community members

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license
  • A satisfactory criminal history check
  • A valid employee working with children check
  • A valid NDIS workers screening check
