Job Title: Mechanical Fitting Professional

This exciting role is available for a skilled Mechanical Fitting professional to join our team on a rotating Day and Afternoon shift basis.

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Fitting professional, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on rolling stock according to production plans and policies.

You will also test, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including HVAC systems, using schematics.

Additionally, you will inspect bodywork, roofs, and undercarriages for wear or damage, and warranty work, repair, or replacement of components and parts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Australian Trade Diploma in Electrotechnology or Mechanical Fitting; Certification III required.
  2. Experience in Rail, Rolling Stock, Light Rail, Bus, Automotive, Earth Moving, or Heavy Diesel Fitting.
  3. Strong PLC fault finding, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and rectification skills.
  4. Ability to read technical drawings and maintain detailed records.
Benefits:
  • $40 - $41 Per Hour plus shift loading penalties.
  • Permanent role with immediate start.
  • Work schedule: Mon-Fri Days, Sun-Thurs afternoons, rotating weekly.
