Job Title:

Auto Mine Technician

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, repair and administer Sandvik autonomous and remotely operated mobile equipment.
  • Ensure safety is prioritized by maintaining a proactive attitude and adhering to industry standards.

Required qualifications include a relevant Australian recognised trade qualification - Auto Electrical preferred - knowledge of Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders, proven experience with remote control systems - Automine, experience training less qualified tradespeople in a high productivity underground mining environment and strong background with latest generation underground mobile equipment and automation systems.

A self-starter with minimal supervision and excellent maintenance and service approach is required. A current Australian C Class Driver's License - manual - is also necessary.

">About the Role:
  • Prioritise safety and ensure it is maintained through proactive measures.
  • Hold a relevant Australian recognised trade qualification – Auto Electrical preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders is essential.
  • Proven experience with remote control systems – Automine is mandatory.
  • Train less qualified tradespeople in a high productivity underground mining environment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in latest generation underground mobile equipment and automation systems.
  • Strong diagnostic skills are required.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in underground mining on large mobile equipment.
  • Self-motivation and minimal supervision.
  • Excellent maintenance and service skills are necessary.
  • Current Australian C Class Driver's License – manual is required.
