Job Title: Mine Site Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Site Specialist to join our team. This role will involve working with our customers to ensure the Command for Hauling equipment and system is operating at its optimum performance.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, where you will be responsible for managing machine and system integration, identifying field issues, troubleshooting, and tracking progress.

You will also be involved in analysing data relating to Autonomous and base machine faults, including regular evaluation of the data accuracy and integrity of the system.

Additionally, you will work with our Product Support teams to provide input and develop plans for system enhancements and upgrades.

Other key responsibilities include reporting on the working status of hardware and software of the Autonomous system to Engineering Product Support and understanding proper procedures in case of critical failures in the system.

Furthermore, you will be required to train other staff and mentor junior team members.


Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical and/or electrical mining trucks
  • Solid knowledge of off-board communications and experience with radios and networks
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or prior experience developing or testing on-board machine control systems or off-board mine control systems
  • Ability to integrate and maintain complex electronic systems on machines utilizing schematic models
  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot electronic systems to understand root causes
  • Strong desire to assist in hands-on system installations
  • Motivated self-starter capable of working with others to complete tasks accountable to them on time
