Senior AI Leadership Role

This is a senior leadership position within the Information Management department. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of an enterprise AI strategy, establish and manage an AI advisory service, and lead AI proof of concept and pilot projects.

About the Position
  • Lead the department's AI program of work, including the implementation of an enterprise AI strategy and establishing and managing an AI advisory service.
  • Oversee AI proof of concept and pilot projects, and provide expert advice to stakeholders on the use of AI technologies.
  • Work closely with the Information Management team to support the department in using data and AI solutions to make informed decisions and improve operational processes.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, governance frameworks, and training programs to ensure the responsible use of AI.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex AI, analytics, and data governance projects in a large organisation, coupled with advanced understanding of AI technologies and their application.
  • A strong grasp of data ethics and responsible AI principles, the ability to develop and implement comprehensive AI or data governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and data quality improvement initiatives aligned with relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with how AI and data analytics can be applied in an education setting to improve operations and productivity.
