Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to oversee our plant operations team in NSW and ACT. This role plays a key part in our national plant group, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of plant services across the business.

This position requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of rail and civil plant and equipment, commercial acumen, and experience in managing asset maintenance and lifecycle principles.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Team Management: Provide direction and support for the NSW & ACT Plant team, enabling team members to complete maintenance activities safely and effectively.
  2. Strategy Development: Support the General Manager in developing strategies to build plant and engineering capabilities.
  3. Customer and Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers and project stakeholders, providing safe, reliable, and price-competitive plant and equipment services.
  4. Maintenance Program Management: Accountable for the NSW & ACT plant P&L, ensuring annual financial budgets are developed, costs controlled within budget, and accurate monthly reports and forecasts are delivered.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in leading teams and developing positive team culture.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, with ability to collaborate with diverse mix of peers and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading a team to achieve safe outcomes in a high-risk environment such as rail, construction, or mining.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead a business function and implement strategies for effective financial and commercial outcomes.
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in a relevant discipline or field (e.g., mechanical/electrical) or equivalent relevant experience.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
