About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled People and Culture Consultant to join our team at TAL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our People Leaders on a broad range of people-related initiatives and activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a People and Culture Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing employee relations cases, including performance management, misconduct, and formal investigations.
  • Providing people advisory support and consultancy to People Leaders on a range of human resource lifecycle activities, including policy interpretation and advice on employment-related legislation.
  • Supporting the People and Culture Business Partners in managing organisational changes, such as planning, coordination, and document preparation, attending and supporting consultation and outcome meetings.
  • Designing and delivering return-to-work plans for returning employees and managing long-term illness and injury cases.
  • Managing tasks through the CRM portal (ServiceNow) and Workday, and working within agreed SLAs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and manage complex employee relations/industrial relations cases through relevant People and Culture processes and employment legislation.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to interpret employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage own time and deliver to agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills to articulate technical issues with stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and experience working with a HRIS, such as Workday.
