Project Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead our project management team and oversee the full lifecycle of major projects across Southern Tasmania.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all projects meet or exceed strict workplace health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.

This is a leadership role that requires excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills. If you have a proven track record in commercial construction industry project management and possess strong leadership skills, we encourage you to apply.

  • Safety Focus: Develop and own the project management plan prioritising workplace health and safety above all else.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and coach the project management team to ensure they meet performance expectations and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Project Oversight: Manage project schedules, budgets & financial performance, and oversee the development of effective work plans.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure projects adhere to the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all legislative requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective communication with the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek out and implement improvements to ensure best practices and a competitive advantage.
  • Estimating: Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for new work opportunities.
  • Subcontractor Management: Appoint subcontractors and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction industry project management.
  • Proven proficiency in project management methodologies and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A valid Car Driver's License and WHS for Managers and Supervisors certification.
  • A Diploma of Project Management is desirable.
