Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Financial Operations Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's finances, preparing and producing monthly management accounts, and supporting strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and produce monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Finance Director.
- Financial Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support with budgeting and forecasting, providing insightful financial analysis to inform business strategy.
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
- VAT Compliance: Manage and review the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Year-end Accounts: Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors when required.
- Financial Controls: Maintain and improve financial controls and processes to support the growth of the business.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Engage in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives to drive cost efficiencies and operational improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Operations Manager in a hands-on role.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams across the business.
- Qualifications: Desirable: Part or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar accountancy qualifications.
