About the Role

The Quarry Superintendent is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of quarry operations. This includes ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of quarry operations, including drilling and blasting techniques, equipment operation, and materials processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage all aspects of quarry operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and supervise quarry staff, including equipment operators, maintenance workers, and administrative personnel.
  • Manage quarry equipment, including maintenance, repair, and replacement, to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and implement best practices to minimize risks.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that quarry products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports on quarry operations, including production, safety, and environmental compliance, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Several years of experience in quarry operations, including supervisory or management roles, is typically required. Experience with drilling, blasting, and heavy equipment operation is also beneficial.
  • Strong technical knowledge of quarry operations, including drilling and blasting techniques, equipment operation, and materials processing.
  • The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required in a quarry environment.
  • A valid driver's license may be required, as the role may involve travel to different quarry sites or meetings with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to safety regulations and best practices in quarry operations.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to improve quarry operations.
What's On Offer

The salary range for this position is $135-160k per annum, relevant to experience + superannuation + bonus + access to a company vehicle. Relocation support is also on offer for the right candidate.
