About the Role

The successful candidate will work in our hand therapy stream, providing safe and effective evidence-based clinical care to patients with traumatic, chronic, and post-operative conditions affecting their hand function. As a Grade 2 or 3 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for supporting, teaching, and training Grade 1 OT staff members, assistants, and students, as well as assisting in managing the clinical stream and workload allocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert assessment, treatment, and goal-setting services for complex client groups
  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance skills and knowledge of junior staff
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Extensive clinical experience in hand therapy, preferably in a leading tertiary health setting
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching and supervision, with a passion for growing the skills of your team
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with peers and leaders
