About the Opportunity

Miwatj Health is seeking an experienced specialist general practitioner locum to join their team at the Ramingining Health Centre. This is a unique opportunity to work in a solo GP clinic, providing primary health care to the residents of East Arnhem Land.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality primary health care to patients in a solo GP clinic setting
  • Work collaboratively with the clinic manager, registered nurses, Aboriginal health worker, and other staff members to deliver comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and guidelines
Requirements
  • Current non-restricted specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellow of RACGP or ACCRM
  • Previous experience working in Indigenous health is essential

About Ramingining

Ramingining is a small Indigenous community located 550 kilometres east of Darwin in the North East Arnhem region. The community is home to many talented artists and musicians, and offers a unique opportunity to experience Indigenous culture firsthand.
