Cyber Security Analyst Job Summary

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be a key member of our team responsible for supporting the Department's cyber security capability through security monitoring, triaging and escalating cyber events and incidents, and vulnerability management.

This is a critical role in protecting our digital assets and supporting a proactive cyber security posture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Operations: Experience in cyber monitoring, incident response, and use of tools like EDR, SIEM, and network traffic analysis platforms
  • Vulnerability Management: Proven capability in identifying, assessing, and managing cyber vulnerabilities
  • Cyber Security Awareness: Ability to deliver training, run simulation exercises, and raise security awareness across diverse audiences
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, partner agencies, and external vendors
  • Policy & Compliance: Knowledge of relevant cyber frameworks and ability to ensure compliance with policies
  • Communication & Reporting: Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate, timely reports for executive audiences
