Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Cyber Security Strategist to join our team. This is a critical role that will drive the development and implementation of our cyber security strategy across ventures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Fraud and Scams Defence – Develop and implement fraud and scams prevention controls across ventures, ensuring a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential threats.
  • Security Assurance – Design and build lightweight, effective security assurance programs aligned to industry standards such as NIST CSF and ACSC Essential 8.
  • SOC & Threat Hunting – Lead purple team exercises, hunt threats using Microsoft Sentinel and the Defender Suite, and provide expert guidance on threat detection and response.
  • Automation First – Design and implement automated playbooks to reduce repetitive SOC tasks, improve detection efficiency, and enhance overall security posture.
  • Architecture & Consultation – Partner with engineers and executives to embed secure design principles and provide pragmatic security consultation to ensure the delivery of secure solutions.
  • Mentorship – Coach security engineers, share threat-hunting techniques, and uplift team capability through knowledge sharing and best practice adoption.
  • Reliability Mindset – Apply site reliability engineering practices to build resilient, observable, and scalable security systems that meet the needs of our business.
  • Continuous improvement – Uplift maturity across ventures, lead security assessments, and contribute to cross-venture threat models to stay ahead of emerging threats.
