Dynamic Roto and Prep Team Leader

The Roto/Prep Supervisor is a vital position responsible for overseeing all roto and prep activities in our Sydney studio. This role demands strong leadership and communication skills to manage a remote team based in India.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss project briefs, progress, and technology utilized.
  • Ensure the team adheres to best practice workflows and effectively communicates with internal supervisors from other departments.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to assist in bidding work and scheduling tasks sent off-site.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on artwork produced by the team.
  • Mentor and train new team members to guarantee they meet DNEG's quality standards.
Essential Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience as a Prep Supervisor in a VFX studio.
  • At least three years of experience as a Roto/Paint/Prep/Shot finishing artist.
  • Diploma or certificate in visual effects or a related field.
  • Experience supervising and scheduling remote Roto/Prep teams.
  • Proficiency in Nuke and Silhouette.
  • Leadership experience in managing both in-house and remote teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to motivate a team.
