This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical education and training programs, with a focus on supporting the development of nursing and midwifery staff.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Nursing and Midwifery Education team to deliver on key strategic education initiatives, including the development of clinical education programs and the provision of support to nursing and midwifery staff.

You will have a strong background in nursing education and training, with experience in developing and implementing clinical education programs. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including nursing and midwifery staff, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical education programs that meet the needs of nursing and midwifery staff.
  • You will provide support and guidance to nursing and midwifery staff, including mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
  • You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain certification within 12 months of commencement of position.
  • Credentials in Triage and as an Advanced Life Support Instructor, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement of position.
  • Demonstrated three years' experience providing clinical teaching and education to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse.

Location
