The role of Assistant Accountant – Payables presents a unique opportunity to join our finance team and contribute to the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage rates and taxes processing, accruals, reconciliations, and assistant accounting activities to ensure accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
  • Support end-of-month reporting and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure payments are processed on time and in line with policy.
  • Contribute to compliance, system and process improvements, and the financial sustainability of the organisation.
About You:
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years related accounting / bookkeeping and Accounts Payable experience.
  • Prior experience/knowledge of SAP is highly regarded.
  • You will possess minimum Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • A Certificate III/IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping (or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
  • You will hold a current QLD Working with Children Check.
