Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Specialist to join its finance team in Sydney.

This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of direct and indirect tax matters, supporting both Australian and international projects.

You will play a pivotal part in ensuring high-quality tax compliance, providing expert advice on project bids and transactions, and contributing to strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the business.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Tax Specialist will include:

  • Delivering high-quality, technically accurate tax compliance deliverables within agreed deadlines.
  • Preparing corporate tax returns and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns across the group.
  • Reviewing project tax returns thoroughly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Managing external reviews of corporate and project returns by liaising effectively with external advisers.
  • Supporting the Tax Director with board reporting and tax forecasting activities.
  • Providing advice and assistance on project bids by reviewing external project tax opinions.
  • Assisting with key strategic tax projects that contribute to business improvement programmes.
