About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Construction Surveyor to join our Technical Services – Survey Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide surveying services to our Construction Section of the Capital Delivery Branch.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining control networks for construction purposes
  • Reading and interpreting Engineering plans
  • Associated office calculations and the preparation of set-out files
  • Conducting Survey Setout for civil works on site
  • Maintaining appropriate quality assurance and data management practices
  • Adhering to industry and organisational OH&S standards
  • Facilitating the survey pickup and processing of as constructed data, in accordance with councils Ascon guidelines, to be included in Council's spatial and asset management systems

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
  • A current Class C driver's licence
  • An Associate Degree in Surveying (or equivalent Qualifications) or substantial industry experience in the field of Surveying
  • The ability to be registered as an Associate, Graduate or Surveyor with the Surveyors Board Queensland
  • Experience with the use of 12D and Leica or Trimble survey equipment would be highly regarded
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
