Nuclear Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team in the Regulation and Licensing directorate within the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Regulatory Design (NPSRD).
Key Responsibilities- Exercise a significant degree of independence and provide strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead and assume accountability for complex nuclear engineering and science work.
- Develop, coach, and review individual, team, and business performance.
- Actively manage key stakeholder relationships and identify relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns.
- Extensive knowledge of nuclear safety and radiation protection principles.
- Experience of working in high-hazard regulated environments.
- Ability to incorporate scientific, engineering, and behavioural reasoning into nuclear safety and radiation protection regulation and licensing.
- Strong people management skills and knowledge to lead a high-performing and cohesive team.
