Medical Director Opportunities

The District Medical Officer role is a critical position within our healthcare system, providing comprehensive medical and community health services to remote communities.

  • This involves delivering high-quality clinical leadership, supervision, training, and education to ensure the provision of safe, effective, appropriate, and quality clinical service.

We are seeking skilled medical professionals who can work in emergency department settings, provide ward type-based care, and participate in GP outreach clinics.

A key aspect of this role is collaboration with other healthcare specialists, including access to resident specialists via telehealth and support from the WACHS Command Centre for rapid care coordination and team leadership.

In addition, you will have opportunities to hone your skills in patient retrieval and high-level care through regular collaboration with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
