We are seeking a highly skilled Discipline Leader to lead our team of scientists, engineers, and technicians in achieving exceptional outcomes for Defence.
This role will deliver strategic scientific outcomes and informed advice to enhance the capability provided by Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) both now and into the future.
About the Role:- Plan and deliver work packages for Defence Innovation Science and Technology priority aligned programs
- Manage day-to-day operation of the ASA integration and manufacturing testing facilities in Australia
- Supervise and mentor staff within ASA STC
- Support the Group Leader ASA to maintain strategic alignment of the broader team
- Well-developed skills in systems engineering of robotics and autonomous systems
- Accomplished researcher with leadership culture that promotes excellence and cohesion
- Resource management skills, experience in developing and sustaining strong relationships and collaborations with industry, academic, and international government agency partners
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of systems engineering principles and be able to apply them to complex projects. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a high-performing team.
