Client Side Project Director

A highly coveted opportunity has arisen to lead a large scale new build project as a Client Side Project Director.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the management of regulatory approvals
  • Coordinate construction design
  • Manage stakeholders and facilitate effective communication with them
  • Work in a live environment, where some buildings may remain open during construction phases
  • Ensure stringent health and safety protocols are maintained
  • Oversee program management initiatives
  • Administer contracts effectively
  • Direct the construction of project delivery
  • Manage site variations and design changes efficiently
  • Exercise cost control measures
  • Mentor junior team members and provide valuable guidance
  • Prepare and submit tender/proposal documents
  • Nurture strong client relationships
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, or Project Management is essential
  • 7-15+ years of experience in a client side PM role, with head contractor experience being ideal
  • Proven end-to-end project management skills from concept through to completion are mandatory
  • Exposure to program management, managing timelines and critical paths is crucial
  • Experience of end-to-end project management on a variety of building projects, including commercial fit-out would be advantageous
  • Superior leadership and mentorship skills are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills are expected
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project as well as experience with various industry standard contract forms
