Early Learning Centre Leader

We are seeking a qualified and experienced leader to join our team as an Early Learning Centre Leader.

  • About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kindy room team and overseeing the room curriculum. They will also provide mentoring and daily operations support to the team.

  • Key responsibilities:
  1. Maintain strong supervision of children across all rooms and age groups, ensuring room ratios are correct and in line with industry best practice.
  2. Create a curriculum of educational learning for the kindy children that is based on the Early Years Learning Framework.
  3. Ensure the standard of learning and care provided to children (and families) is of an excellent standard.
  4. Embed curriculums with Early Years Learning Framework principles and practices; provide clear evidence of kindy learning in an open and transparent environment.
  5. Oversee and ensure the completion and compliance of children's planning, learning and evaluation documentation in line with regulatory bodies and industry best practice.
  • Leadership and mentorship:
  1. Mentor and guide inexperienced staff/educators to meet the required standard of behaviour and conduct consistent with a Level 1 in the Capability Framework.
  2. Collaborate with the centre director to ensure professional practices are of a high standard.
  3. Promote, foster and encourage staff to operate in line with ACECQA National Quality Standards.
  4. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment by contributing to staff meetings.
  5. Ensure practice of self is always in line with work, health and safety policies.
  • Qualifications and requirements:
  1. Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check for all applicants.
  2. Working with Children Check as required for child-facing roles.
