**Job Opportunity:**

Tablelands Regional Council is seeking a motivated Legal Advisor to play a central role in strengthening the governance frameworks and providing legal expertise to support the organisation's strategic priorities.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

• Implementing and improving the governance framework.

• Providing in-house legal guidance and coordinating external legal advice on complex matters.

• Coordinating lease and land tenure portfolio, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing agreements.

• Advising, training, and guiding staff on governance and legal issues.

• Managing complaints and investigations in line with the Complaints Management Policy.

• Preparing high-quality reports, policies, procedures, and briefings to support informed decision-making.


**About You:

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Law (or relevant discipline), admission as an Australian Lawyer, and a current practising certificate. You should also have demonstrated experience in commercial/community leasing and complaints handling, as well as strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
