Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Mobility Support: Help clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking, and positioning.
- Medication Assistance: Prompt prescribed medication administration and monitor health conditions as directed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in meaningful conversation, and participate in activities to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
- Experience: Previous experience in a personal care role or similar environment is essential.
- Education: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent.
- Certification: Current First Aid Certificate.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassion and Empathy: Ability to provide emotional support and understanding to clients.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring clients.
