Job Summary

The Grader Operator is a critical role in the success of our operations, responsible for operating plant and fleet to achieve strategic objectives.

This position is predominantly based within the road construction team, with the possibility of working across other teams within Engineering Services.

Demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to high-quality service and continuous improvement are essential as a representative of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competent and safe operation of plant/fleet as licensed and verified to operate and undertaking activities up to and including engaged level as per relevant award conditions
  • Hands-on laboring within road construction and maintenance such as installing road signs, guide loading and unloading trucks, traffic control (as authorized) and prepare work sites in accordance with traffic and other management plans
  • Undertake work activities as directed to achieve operational and strategic plans

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of assigned plant/fleet and work cohesively with workshop in maintaining plant/fleet
  • Ensuring all daily checks of plant/fleet are completed and advising of repairs/maintenance requirements
  • Providing high-level customer service on behalf of our organization ensuring a positive reflection with members of the public is maintained
