Labourer Job Description

This role is responsible for performing a range of general labouring activities to support the achievement of Council's Operational and Strategic Objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To operate plant and fleet as licensed, undertaking activities in accordance with the Queensland Local Government Award.
  • To undertake hands-on labouring within road construction and maintenance, including installing road signs, guideposts, weed management, digging trenches, removing debris, and preparing work sites.
  • To maintain assigned plant and fleet, working cohesively with the workshop to ensure optimal functionality.
Requirements:
  • Competent operation of plant and fleet as licensed.
  • Able to perform physical labour in various settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently.
Working Conditions:

The Labourer will be required to work in a variety of outdoor environments, including on-road and off-road locations. The role may also require working in workshops or offices as necessary.
