The role ensures efficient execution of field engineering processes that meet regulatory standards and align with project goals.

  • Quality Assurance:
  • Develop field quality assurance plans, procedures, and standards to ensure project compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct field inspections and audits to monitor work quality performed by field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues through coordination with engineering and field teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Amend quality control processes as needed to respond to changes in specifications or drawings.
  • Engineering Management:
  • Lead efforts to address design or engineering issues identified during project construction and commissioning phases.
  • Collaborate with project management, design, and product teams to ensure field engineering solutions are practical, cost-effective, and meet customer requirements.
  • Review and approve field engineering plans, designs, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee field projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of field activities.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting any risks or issues.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure all field operations adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Conduct quality audits (e.g., ISO 9001) and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.

You will be responsible for managing field inspection activities, undertaking internal reviews of QC areas on the project, developing and managing project QA/QC audit schedules, implementing data collection processes, preparing procedures, controlling the issue and recovery of all QC instruments on the project, maintaining a register of QC instruments including calibration status, and other duties as assigned.

This is a fixed-term position with an estimated duration of 12 months, with potential to extend or convert to permanent. The successful candidate will have experience in managing field operations, knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, engineering standards, and industry regulations, certification in quality management, excellent auditing skills and formal audit qualification, previous experience/exposure to the ISO 9001 accreditation process, working knowledge of construction safety digital platforms, white card, and excellent communication, people skills, and emotional intelligence.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality results and ensure project success.
