We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team of urban planners, focusing on sustainable outcomes and community development.

The city is one of Melbourne's largest municipalities, covering a land area of approximately 490 square kilometres, and home to 242,000 residents. With 35% of residents born overseas, Whittlesea boasts an incredibly diverse population and thriving community life.

Key drivers for the council include facilitating the creation of appealing neighbourhoods and precincts that attract residents and businesses, contributing to an overall sense of community. The strategic roles will lead and contribute to the development and implementation of Council-wide strategies, plans, planning scheme amendments and policies as they relate to land-use development growth areas and the City of Whittlesea.

To be considered for these roles, you will need to demonstrate sound experience managing multi-disciplinary planning projects from inception to implementation, and have the ability to effectively engage with a large range of stakeholders to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
