Spec Services is a leading specialist cleaning and services management company.
We are currently seeking a Biohazard Operations Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused individual who is passionate about leading teams in critical situations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians on various biohazard remediation projects, including mould remediation, water/fire/storm damage, and hazardous material clean-ups.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend water, mould, fire, and storm damage restoration jobs
- Operate drying equipment, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters
- Conduct site clean-ups, moisture checks, and minor demolition tasks
- Liaise with customers, insurance representatives, and internal teams
- Complete job documentation via phone or mobile apps
- Participate in a rotating on-call roster for after-hours emergency response
- Maintain a high level of Health and Safety, ensuring all standards are met
Requirements:
- Evidenced right to work in Australia
- Experience in biohazard, remediation, restoration, or specialist cleaning (preferably)
- Previous leadership or team coordination experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging environments
- Must be available on weekends
- Valid White Card, Asbestos Awareness Certificate & Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention certificates
- Current driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Police clearance
