Brass Instrument Tutor

We are seeking a professional to provide high-quality brass instrument tuition to students in partnering primary schools. This will involve delivering weekly lessons, managing the program, and overseeing band rehearsals.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires experience playing brass instruments, coupled with teaching qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing musical tuition, transportation, student supervision, and organizing special events.

The position is fixed-term (12 months) and part-time (5 hours per week), based at South Barwon Corps, Belmont, VIC. We are looking for someone with a passion for music education and a commitment to our values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly brass instrument tuition to students in groups of two or more
  • Manage the brass tuition program in a partnering primary school
  • Oversee all aspects of weekly band rehearsals, including transportation, student supervision, and musical tuition
  • Organize Just Brass specific special events each year
  • Attend music/creative arts camps and engage with the Corps Ministry Team
