Job Description

As a Senior Support Engineer, you will be acting as a technical expert to provide in-depth guidance and support to customers. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Postgres, Cloud experience, and customer common-use tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide customized solutions.
  • Collaborate with junior support engineers to triage issues, create reproducible test cases, and offer patches when possible.
  • Document solutions, procedures, and standards for customers and internal use.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Significant experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent database technologies.
  • Cloud platform experience in use of computer, networking, storage, application, and database services (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, or Google GCP preferred).
  • Experience with common monitoring tools for cloud-native environments, such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or cloud-specific monitoring technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge.
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving skills for abstract and complex issues.
  • Quick-thinking and able to work well under pressure.
  • Adept at documenting efforts, actions, and results.
  • Experience of liaising with Engineering teams.
