Compliance Lead Job DescriptionJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving compliance excellence across the organization, ensuring that all business activities align with regulatory requirements.

The Compliance Lead will report directly to the Executive Manager and will work closely with various teams, including Business Banking, Central Compliance, and Risk. Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive compliance advice on Open Banking and Consumer Data Right obligations, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment, and advocating for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-depth compliance guidance on Open Banking and Consumer Data Right regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability
  • Analyze Business Banking incidents against regulatory standards
  • Draft correspondence and exemption requests for key regulators
  • Review customer communications and internal collateral
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Open Banking and Consumer Data Right
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law or a related discipline are highly regarded
  • Proven track record of high performance and engagement
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing non-financial risk
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience advising on Open Banking and Consumer Data Right is desirable but not essential
  • Able to navigate complex legislative instruments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive improvement
