Role Overview

This position focuses on delivering psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for individuals with opioid use disorder in a clinical trial setting. As a Senior Clinical Psychotherapist, you will work closely with researchers and clinicians to implement the psychotherapy component of psilocybin treatment, ensuring therapeutic rigor and participant safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychotherapeutic care within established treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based psychotherapy aligned with clinical and research objectives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and documentation of clinical outcomes for regulatory and scientific reporting purposes.
  • Develop and implement effective clinical processes to support the success and compliance of the research group.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications in psychotherapy with extensive experience in treating addiction, trauma, or complex mental health conditions.
  • Clinical Psychology endorsement with AHPRA is essential for this role.
  • Strong expertise in psychological risk assessment and managing altered states of consciousness.
  • Advanced planning, communication, and analytical skills are necessary for effective collaboration and decision-making.
Working Arrangements
  • Full-time appointment.
  • 2-year fixed-term contract.
