Job Overview

As a Credit Assessment Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our purpose of improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Group Credit Policy and relevant legislation to strike a balance between risk and reward.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and review of customer requests by gathering relevant information/data and investigating all available avenues and sources.
  • Adhere to due process to manage non-financial and operational risks effectively.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in the Banking/Financial services industry and a good understanding of retail/commercial products.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in underwriting Home Loans/Small Business Loans for PAYG, Self Employed customers including complex business structures.
  • CAD (Credit Approval Discretion) or equivalent delegation is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster positive interactions with internal and external parties.
  • Problem solving and analytic skills with attention to detail and ability to determine when issues require escalation.
