The Internal Audit Professional will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes. This will involve performing audits and providing assurance and advisory services to support the achievement of our strategic goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality internal audits and assurance services in accordance with our Internal Audit methodology and professional standards.
- Contribute to the development of audit strategies and plans, ensuring they are aligned with the needs of the business.
- Oversee the management of co-sourced service providers.
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk, providing recommendations for mitigating risks and enhancing internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly in the payments industry.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risk areas, and recommended corrective actions.
- Present audit findings to various stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and audit methodologies, implementing best practices to enhance the internal audit function's effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Experience working with or managing co-sourced service providers.
- Strong audit report writing skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present at various levels.
- Forward-thinking and deadline-driven.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in the financial services or payments industry.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.
- High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
