Job Title: Air Freight Import Manager

Air freight import management plays a crucial role in the smooth importation of air freight. This position involves leading and managing daily operational activities within the air freight import team, supporting country targets and key performance indicators.

  • Leading and managing daily operational activities within the air freight import team
  • Supporting and contributing to the achievement of country targets and KPIs
  • Managing customer relationships and resolving operational issues
  • Coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to optimize service delivery
  • Monitoring supplier performance and implementing improvement plans
  • Preparing and reconciling financial documentation, including cost structures and rate discrepancies
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory policies
  • Promoting health and safety and ensuring workplace compliance
  • Developing a high-performance team culture, providing leadership, coaching, and development

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with:

  • A minimum of 10+ years' experience in freight forwarding/logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • A degree in Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Certifications in Customs, Dangerous Goods, and Air Cargo Security (essential)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and commercial negotiation skills
  • Proven experience managing operations with profit and loss responsibility
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent leadership, team development, and stakeholder management skills
