The RoleWe are seeking experienced secondary tutors with expertise in English or Mathematics to join our team at Kip McGrath Education Centre in Bossley Park.
In this role, you will teach students using our proprietary methodology, promoting self-esteem and self-worth through positive and caring interactions.
You will also learn to utilise our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons efficiently.
Responsibilities- Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology
- Tutor students in a positive, caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
- Quickly learn how to use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons
- Be available to commit to every class scheduled
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
- Keep accurate records online of student progress and goals on a weekly basis
- Provide verbal and written feedback to parents
- Work up to 2-3 sessions per day (Monday to Friday)
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A teaching degree or be in your final year of studies
- A current Working with Children Check
- A friendly, professional, and personable manner
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Demonstrate a positive, vibrant personality
- Confidence using software and computers
- Genuine love for learning and teaching
- Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
- Ability and willingness to teach both face-to-face in our Bossley Park Centre and online as required
