Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Luxury Brand Communications Director to join our Sydney-based team. As a key member of our Marketing and Communications department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to build and nurture the Maison's image and recognition in the Oceania market.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have significant experience in leadership and communications strategy implementation. You will possess strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to be persuasive, engaging, and motivating with others. Your experience in luxury PR, media, and communications will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

As our ideal candidate, you will lead the development and implementation of communication strategies for the Australian and New Zealand market. This will include:

  • Proposal, allocation, and management of the communication budget to achieve strategic objectives in terms of identity, image, and sales;
  • Setting and reviewing priorities and KPIs pertaining to all media channels and events;
  • Presenting to local management and regional counterparts, including action plans and pitches to secure buy-in;
  • Defining and implementing local events, coordinating with regional counterparts to ensure high-quality execution and appreciation.

You will also spearhead the building of the Maison's image locally by:

  • Formulating product launches, partnership events, commercial events, and VIP trips in collaboration with the Client Development Team;
  • Establishing strong connections and negotiations with editors, press, stylists, and opinion leaders, as well as media agencies;
  • Planning and implementing strategic media plans, including print, digital, and social media;
  • Overseeing press pitches, PR materials, photo shoots, and other PR-related projects;
  • Developing and leveraging relevant strategic partners to enhance the Maison's awareness and stature locally.
Team Management

You will manage, motivate, inspire, and develop Communications team members, ensuring efficient task delegation and coaching to achieve concrete objectives. You will provide timely, factual feedback on both skills and behavior to help each team member develop in line with the Maison's expectations.
