Technical Solutions Expert

The ideal candidate will have experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions consulting or technical sales roles. They will be responsible for working closely with the sales team and customers to understand their goals and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support sales in discovery discussions with customers to understand their business objectives, technical environments and challenges.
  • Define solutions to meet customer requirements and work closely with product teams to identify any product gaps.
  • Support deep technical discussions around APIs and SDKs and provide advice on how solutions can best be implemented.
  • Work closely with implementation, customer success and technical support teams to ensure customers are set up for success and can go live smoothly and quickly.
  • Have direct and significant input into shaping the way things are done.
Customer Focus

The Customer is Your Primary Focus - At the heart of your role is the customer. You will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with prospects to deeply understand their business objectives, technical environments and challenges.

Pre-Sales Solution Leadership

You will own the technical aspects of the pre-sales lifecycle - from discovery and qualification through to solution design, running proof of concepts and transition to delivery teams. Your leadership ensures prospects experience a consistent, high-quality engagement that inspires confidence and accelerates their buying decisions.

Technical Proficiency and Problem Solving

Leveraging your deep technical knowledge, you will guide prospects through solution architecture discussions, deliver compelling product demonstrations and address technical objections with clarity and credibility.

Customer Advocate and Continuous Improvement

As the voice of the customer within our organization, you will advocate for their needs and share insights with product and engineering teams. You will capture and prioritise customer feedback, feature requests and emerging requirements to inform product strategy and enhance our solutions' market fit.

Collaborative Partnerships

By working closely with our sales, product, engineering and customer success teams, you will shape and deliver winning strategies that drive revenue growth. Your role is vital in ensuring that our solutions meet customer requirements and set them up for successful implementation.

Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions consulting or technical sales roles - ideally within SaaS platforms serving Financial Services, RegTech or other regulated industries.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management: A proven track record of building trusted relationships with senior technical and business stakeholders, driving engagement through consultative selling and exceptional customer service.
  • Technical Capability: Strong experience designing solutions in complex technology ecosystems. Proficiency with RESTful APIs, Swagger/OpenAPIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SSO), data formats (JSON) and tools such as Postman. Familiarity with JavaScript and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is advantageous.
  • Highly Effective Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You can confidently present to executives, solution architects and end users.
  • Problem Solving and Creativity: A natural problem-solver who can think on your feet—developing innovative approaches to technical challenges and adapting solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working autonomously or as part of a cross-functional team including Sales/Customer Success/Implementation/Product and Technical Support.
