Community Support Role

This is a casual position based at the Miruma Diversionary Support Program, supporting residents to reintegrate into their local communities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Meet key performance indicators and focus on capabilities described in the role description.
  • Support individual case plans and maintain accurate records of resident progress.
  • Mentor, support and assist residents to develop essential life skills for independent living.
  • Transport residents to and from external venues as required.
  • Resolve critical situations relating to the health and wellbeing of residents.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • A current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive a motor vehicle as part of the role.
  • A current First Aid certificate or commitment to obtain one within 3 months of commencing employment.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in social welfare is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with women or other marginalized groups is also highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
